Yeni Diesel reklamında oynuyan ünlü rapçi Common nerden nereye gelmiş?! On sene önce Amsterdam’da izlediğimde promo CD’lerini bedava dağıtıyordu ve şimdi aktör, yazar, manken olmuş! Helal sana Common! Müzik yapmayı ihmal etmede yoksa aramız bunca sene sonra bozulur!
Talk about crossovers, damn! Common going rapping to acting to modelling! I love his music and I feel like he’s one of the most gifted lyricists so I don’t mind that much that he’s making some extra bucks with this Diesel ad. As long as this means he can make more music he likes making and we like listening to!
Alain Clark, Remy Shand, ve Musiq Soulchild gibi sanatçıları aklımıza getiren Bora Uzer‘in ilk solo albümü çıktı! B1 adını taşıyan bu soulful ve funky parçalarla dolu olan albüm bizi hemen Bora hayranına dönüştürdü! Bora’yı çoğunuz ‘Kangroove’dan tanırsınız, ama şimdi tek başına da güzel müzik yapabildiğini ispatladı.
On iki şarkının sekizi Türkçe öbür dördüde Ingilizce. Kullağamızı özellikle okşıyan parçalar sa ‘Optical Illusion’ (Hollanda’lı rapper Jay Colin‘le beraber), ‘Yalan Dolan’, ‘Aramizda Bir Gerginlik Mi Var?’ ve ‘Bundan Sonra Boyle’ Kenan Dogulu‘yla beraber. The Turkish Alain Clark, who on his turn is the Dutch Remy Shand, who again is the Canadian Musiq Soulchild, who just is American. Bora Uzer has released the funkiest and most soulful Turkish album in… ever!! With the horns, guitar riffs, nice beats and positive lyrics he made Pabuc! an immediate fan. Some readers might know him from his former project ‘Kangroove’, but ‘B1′ is Bora’s first solo album.
Eight songs are in Turkish and four of them are in English. The Turkish ones are amazingly good and in a style I haven’t heard before by a Turkish artist, the English tracks are pretty good as well. Some of the English lyrics sound a bit goofy here and there and feel a bit ‘made’, but one of the best songs on the album is actually an English one. The track ‘Optical Illusion’ features Dutch rapper Jay Colin and gives that Pete Philly & Perquisite vibe. Other must-have-on-your-iPod tracks from B1 are ‘Yalan Dolan’, ‘Aramizda Bir Gerginlik Mi Var?’ and ‘Bundan Sonra Boyle’ featuring Turkish pop star Kenan Dogulu.
If you want to see him live don’t miss Efes Pilsen One Love Festival day 2 (and while you’re at it go to day 1 as well)! Oh, and did we mention he performed with no other than Estelle in Germany for 5000 people?!!! Boy be dope!

Şok‘a gidip kendinize 3000 tane Hobby alın ve şeker sizi hiperaktif bir piskopat gibi dans edene kadar yemeye devam edin. Artık sizi böyle ikna edemediksek, herhalde Herbalife‘çı olmanız lazım!
Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic music duo formed by Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau. Two bands I had never heard of before. But their album ‘We Are The People’ I did hear! It actually came out almost six months ago in late-October, but because our internet is very slow it took us a while to download the whole album. Now that it has finally reached this side of the world we order you to buy it! Even if it’s just for the two tracks that make you want to buy six gigantic packs of marshmallows and eat them until the sugar kicks in and let’s you dance for like forty-five-thousand hours. The dopaminious tracks we’re talking about are ‘Walking on a Dream’ and ‘We are the People’. If you’re not convinced now, you must be a weight watcher!

A new cat has arrived on the streets of hip hop and his name is Charles Hamilton! We can’t claim that we discovered this dude since he’s already signed by Interscope, but we can say that we were the first one in Turkey to ever hear about this guy! After two months of listening to his first song ‘Brooklyn Girls’ (see video) we are happy to hear that his debut album is cropping the 23rd of June! It’s called ‘This Perfect Life’ and the first single is ‘Barbara Walters’. Download link provided here:

I was never much of a music producer. Until now that is! Najle from Argentina came up with this crazy ass spacelicious music device that makes all the Daft Punk lovers go apeshit! It’s a music console made in Flash, where every box represents a word from a Daft Punk song and every box is being activated by a letter on your keyboard. So q, w, e, r, a, s, d, f gives: work it, make it, do it, makes us, harder, better, faster, stronger! Let the playing begin! Pabuc! olarak çok şanslıyız.Her bir kaç hafta da bir elimize yeni fazla bilinmeyen müzik geçiyor ve P•Y•T ve The Pinecones‘dan sonra şimdi Philogresz‘in Sound Architecture label’ınde çıkartığı ‘Sentiment EP’e biraz dijital yer ayırıyoruz! Philogresz aka ilker Soylu Istanbullu ama bir kaç sene önce okumak için Hollanda’ya taşınmış. Işte orda müzik yapma kabiliyetinle tanısmış ve şimdi de bizi böyle harika bir EP sunuyor!
Müziği üzücü, düşünürücü, ve aynı anda mutlu ediyor. Başladığında duramıyorsun ve hemen bağımlı olup kalıyorsan! Bizim dememiz size yeterli değil se bir de bakın Laurent Garnier baba ne demiş: “LOVE THIS SHIT, this is DEEEEEEEEEP and BEAUTIFULL full support from me, a million thanks for the great music!” Yeterli dedik galiba, haydi git MySpace‘de bir kaç saat geçir!
Ok, so every once in a while I get an email from a befriended DJ with their new stuff and it just happens that every time I get something like that, I really dig it! So after P•Y•T and The Pinecones, I’m now giving some digital space to Philogresz and his ‘Sentiment EP’ released on Sound Architecture records! Philogresz aka ilker Soylu hails from the Bull and moved to The Netherlands to study music production and sound engineering (so the opposite of what I did).
Now a couple of years later, he is making his own stuff and it is off the fucking hook like Peter Pan! When I listen to his music it forces me to feel melancholic and makes me think about stuff I don’t want to think about. It’s deep, it’s direct and it’s confronting. All of this and not in a bad way. Because at the same time, you can’t stop listening and you feel happy because the sounds seem to flow so naturally.
Just check it out yourself on his MySpace and tell me if I’m wrong! Well, that would also be saying that Laurent Garnier is wrong, because this is what he had to say about Philogresz: “LOVE THIS SHIT, this is DEEEEEEEEEP and BEAUTIFULL full support from me, a million thanks for the great music!” Enough said I think!
iPod Shuffle’ler güncellendi ve bir birinden renkli seçenekler olmazsa da, yeni Shuffle’lar 4GB kapasitesinde ve iki şık renkte çıktı: siyah ve gümüş! Daha küçük ve ince olan iPod Shuffle’da artık düğmeler de azalmış ve kontrollerin çoğu kulaklıkta bulunuyor! Ama en güzel yenilliği ise VoiceOver fonksıyonu: dinlediğiniz veya çalma listenizin adını artık size söylüyor. Ne? Evet, iPod Shuffle konuşuyor. Sessi biraz özürlü gibi olsa bile, baya cool bir ilk! Amerika’da $79 Dolar’a Apple‘de satılmaya başlamış bile!
So there we have it: Apple has gone and shaken off their colorful and playful iPod Shuffles and now we have a slick black and smooth silver 4GB Shuffle! The buttons are mostly gone and have been replaced with a remote on the headphones. But the biggest change is the VoiceOver function! His voice may sound like Gilbert Grape, the fact that you can hear what song you’re playing or what playlist you’re on (yes, they’ve added the playlist function as well) is pretty cool! You can get it now @ Apple for $79!

Artık YouTube kapatıldığı için, müzik kliplerinden uzak kalmanıza gerek yok. Artık arkadaşınız size geldiğinde ve sizde olmaya bir şarkı çalmak istediğinde, saatlerce aramanıza gerek kalmadı! Ok, so perhaps this site isn’t as new as Kanye’s LV sneakers. And ok, perhaps it’s not the flashiest site in the world either. But can we say one thing: Damn! This site is exactly what we needed to find good quality music quickly. Be it for work where you don’t have iTunes, or be it for Turkey and the fact that YouTube is blocked, or be it that a friend is over and wants you to play a song but you just don’t have it on your computer! Fizy is THE solution! The lovely people behind this site have focussed on the quality of the songs and music videos they offer, instead of having a complicated website! Thanks a lot boys and girls and now let’s get everybody Fizy!
