It’s not uncommon that graphic designers/street artists turn their art into succesfull clothing brands. You already had Obey, Stussy and Sixpack France, but now you can add a new name to that list: Pimpalicious. This group of creative designers is led by a good friend of ours, Ceizer aka Piet Pimpel, and they are getting ready to drop their Fall/Winter collection for the the two-double-O-nine! We already had a sneak-peek and it’s going to be sick like tyfus! Check the vid Lisa Love made with her phone to promote it and to spread some positivity on the streets of Damsko! The gear is going to be available in a week or so at their webshop and of course instore at Lastik Pabuc!

Bizim Hollanda’da ki Pimpalicious arkadaşlarımız 2008 Yaz/Ilkbahar için bir t-shirt tasarlamıştılar ve şimdi de Franklin & Marshall bu tasarımı kopyalayıp ne kadar boktan ve sadece salaklar tarafından giyildiğini gösteren bir t-shirt çıkarttı. Siz bunu okurken F&M shirtınızı en iyisi çıkartın ve artık hiç bu kadar çalıntı bir markadan bir şey almayın. Sonuçta bir hırsızla beraber çalışmak istermisiniz?
Just like Armani told Dolce & Gabbana “everybody is a freakin’ copy cat” but at least add some originality to your rip-off! My homeboys from Amsterdam have proven that even big brands follow the smaller geniuses and the Pimpalicous “Dope Boy Fresh” shirt from their Spring/Summer ‘08 collection has now been taken and raped by the cheap non-creatives of Franklin & Marshall. Of course nobody really liked that brand, but now we gave you a valid reason to boycot their asses untill F & M broke! Basically the question is: would you ever want to support a sneaky thief?!
Nom de Guerre Sonbahar/Kış koleksiyonunu sundu ve şu anda neden en iyi erkek giyim markalarından bir tanesi olduğunu tekrar hatırlattılar! Tabii fiyatlar biraz daha uygun olsaydı biz de belki bir kaç outfit alabilirdik ama neyse, kader değilmiş herhalde!
Nom de Guerre proves that they are among the top menswear brands with their fall/winter ‘09 collection! Of course we would love to rock their clothes but unfortuantely the price tags contain too many digits. Well, maybe they’ll read this and send me one of those nice grey jackets!
Büyünce benim de öyle bir sakalım olsun isterim. Ya da Ocean’s Eleven’de ki George Clooney’a benziğim. Her neyse, aşağıdaki dört fotoğrafa baktığınızda aynı koleksiyondan geldiğini sanırsınız, ama öyle değil! Ilk iki fotoğraf 29 yaşındaki moda tasarımcı Ümit Benan‘dan geliyor. Almanya doğumlu Umit Boston, New York ve Milano’den ilhamını almış ve sonuç bu ilgi çekici koleksiyon olmuş. Ama Adam Kimmel‘ın Sonbahar ‘08 koleksiyonunun foto shoot’una baktığımızda aynı kareleri görüyoruz ve tekrar o aynı tip yaşlı adam. Giorgio Armani’nin dediği gibi “Hepimiz çalıyoruz” yokas başka birşey mi söylemişti? Aslında fark etmez, sonuç bu: iki tasarımcının da giyisileri çok güzel ve ikisinede hayatlarında ve kariyerlerinde başarı dileriz!
I would like to look like that when I get old and gray. Or perhaps like George Clooney. Anyways, you would say the four pictures above come from the same collection, but that ain’t the case: the top two photos are by up-and-coming 29-year-old, men’s wear fashion designer Ümit Benan. Thing is though that, besides our respect for the guy (born in Germany, studied Business in Boston, moved to Milano and got some real life action with Marc Jacobs) we couldn’t help notice the resemblance of his Fall ‘09 photo shoot to Adam Kimmel’s Fall ‘08 shoot in the two lower pictures (thanks Can for pointing this out). Seems familiar doesn’t it?! Well, just like Giorgio Armani recently said, “we all steal”! Or maybe he called it, getting inspired. Fact is that 62-year old model Giovanni from the Umit Benan shoot looks a lot like the model used in the Adam Kimmel shoot. Another fact is that both of the designer are top notch and even though Kimmel is has proven himself, we have no doubt that Umit wil do that in no time!

Daha önce Kolor markasını duymamıştık ama şansımıza bügün Internet’te bu yeni markaya rastladık! Ilkbahar/Yaz koleksiyonundan bir kaç kare önünüzde ve photo shoot’tan, giyisilere kadar gayet orijinal ve güzel olduğunu düşünüyoruz! Bakalım Türkiye’ye hangi mağaza bu markayı getirecek!
Even though this morning we didn’t know that this brand existed, we have now decided that we’re big fans of Kolor (no website to link to yet)! So the Spring/Summer ‘09 collection has that nerdy quirkiness together with some smoother designs and that all in a very ‘amateurish’ photo shoot. Loves it! Now all we have to do is wait to see which store will carry Kolor to Europe!

Another Enemy Ilkbahar/Yaz ‘09 koleksiyonu için bu espirili ve yüzde yüz Disney Mickey Mouse’un ne kadar kötü olduğunu gösteren bir t-shirt yapmış. Daha fazla Disney karakterlerin kötü yanını gösteren giyisilerde var, ama biz en çok bunu beğendik!
